Martin,

Sorry for the late response. The first victory was the Battle of Alasai on March 14, 2009. French Mountain Troops, Afghan infantry and a handful of Americans invaded an enemy valley and beat the crap out of the Taliban. Good times.

I was lucky in Afghanistan, we never got any rockets or mortars on our firebase. The Taliban only tried twice, and both times they missed the entire base.

In reply to Martin. Thanks Martin. The other total victory was the battle of the Alasai Valley, March 14 2009. I never had incoming rockets onto my firebase, but we had a few when I was at Bagram. Nothing ever really close.

Whow, I’m a bit late here (over 5 years) but I’m writing this to thank you from this fantastic blog!
I also want to ask you a few things, notably the two times you were involved in a total victory, what was the second time?
Second thing, did you ever took some shots that landed into your protections?
Sorry if you already told those things in other subjects but I’m pretty new to your blog.
