Je suis français et viens de decouvrir par hasard votre blog, particulièrement votre retour d’expérience en Afghanistan avec les troupes française. Heureusement pour nos deux pays et d’autres aussi, la mauvaise opinion des uns envers les autres à souvent pour origine une minorité de personnes incultes qui une fois sur le terrain changent vite d’avis. Le plus dangereux c’est quand elles sont à la tête d’une nation.

In reply to chrishernandezauthor. Plus France isn't the only country with women in combat. There is Sweden, Finland, Norway, Germany, Estonia, Lithunia, Romania, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada,, Ireland, South Korea, Poland, etc. And they have troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, and/ Mali(mainly the French).

In reply to chrishernandezauthor. Thank you I agree. I alway knew, no offense to marines, that the study that they did on women in combat was JUNK. After all they were biased against women. And yes in the old day they did a study on "negros" saying the same thing like the marine study.

In reply to Tich Tran. I support women in combat *if* they attain and maintain the standard. No lowered standards, no different expectations. I think very few women are interested in or capable of being infantry. But those who are should be allowed to serve in that role.
