Is it possible you got good comments about me because of my Moorish handsomeness? 🙂

And congratulations on staying in the top 100 list on Amazon for “Line in the Valley”. You’ve produced a great book, and discussing it on my blog was worth getting the couple of nasty ignorant rants. Your interview generated the most hits on my blog, which means lots of exposure for both of us. Just thought to let you know, I did get good feedback privately. Some people from my side of the world are too nervous about making their comments public.

With all the heartaches involved in the journey of writing and publishing a book, I find myself really enjoying the ride. I hope you are too.

I spent 6 years in the Marines, and I can tell you that soldiers really DO talk just like that.

I can’t really say when it comes to cops, but being that so many cops are former soldiers, they probably do also.

There’s no such thing as the average reader, otherwise books would get written by computers and not humans. I spend hours every day on public transportation, and I can see the paperbacks that people read (the only bad thing about e-readers is that you can’t spy on other people’s reading habits anymore). One day, I was waiting for the bus. There was a young guy waiting at the bus stop. He was wearing very hip clothes and he was athletic. The kind of dude you would expect to read GQ or some other magazine for male urban professionals. Guess what he was reading? Anne Frank’s diary…
